People ask me and tell me I am crazy to even be thinking about jumping in the Delaware again. AND if this was about me I would be dipping my toes in the warm waters of the Carribbean with a drink in my hand. BUT this is not about me. This is about Joshua, my pride and joy.
Thru organizations such as the Bethlehem Special Olympics Josh has been able to thrive and learn respect, humility and independence. Today he is able to hold his head high, work and contribute to society (yes he even pays taxes) and continue to be the extraordinary young adult I love so much.
So... on Saturday, February 18th I will be “freezin for a reason" at the Lehigh Valley Polar Plunge at Scott Park in Easton. I’ve not only committed to plunging in the Delaware River, I’ve made the commitment to raise donations, which will be used to help further the mission of SOPA and help support the athletes who train and compete right here in the Lehigh Valley.
If you would prefer to make a cash or check donation, please make your check or money order payable to SOPA or Special Olympics PA. Please include my first and last name and “Lehigh Valley Polar Plunge” in the memo line.
Donations can be mailed to the following address:
Special Olympics Pennsylvania
ATTN: Lehigh Valley Polar Plunge
2570 Blvd. of the Generals, Suite 124
Norristown, PA 19403
Thank you for your support!
